It's the news that probably doesn't surprise most people - Tesco is the most detested supermarket in the UK. Our recent poll gave the following result:
Tesco 46%
Waitrose 14%
Sainsburys 12%
Lidl 11%
Asda 8%
Aldi & Morrisons 3% each
Blame Blogger for the missing 3%....

I still like Tesco, and think it is way better than any American supermarket!
Okay I am always whining that I cannot get good snozzies here in CA. Being a Kiwi and living in London I am fussy. I know about Aidells but I don't like them and neither do the kids. (or anything you can buy in packets here - what do they put in them?) This is another reason to head out your way for an (adult) field trip. And...Thud is your brother - pleased to have made the connection!
Very well written vinogirl, I too like a good sausage butty in the morning for my breakfast. And while visiting America the past couple of years it has been a little disappointing as us Brits make a grand ode sausage and the Americans ...well don't. So I'm glad you found this little gem.
